Sunday, 17 May 2015. Day two of the AMI. Workshop and I went to Buachaille Etive Mor with the 3 trainee MIAs. We went up Curved Ridge and down its top section before curving round under North Buttress to carry on our descent. Rain, sun, hail and big, big snowflakes.

The Ice Factor is the worlds biggest indoor Ice Climbing Wall! We are an Indoor climbing centre featuring rock and ice and running indoor and outdoor courses for walkers, scramblers, climbers, mountaineers, families, etc. Our staff range from trainee instructors to very experienced climbers who have climbed on every continent on the planet. The last wee while saw some rare ice forming up so I managed to get a couple of cool wee routes in. First up was taking my better half out for her first outdoor ice climb. We only had limited time and thankfully the waterfall 5 minutes from our village had frozen and we had a great jaunt up there. Its been a long time. On a part time permanent contract and have done since April 2015. This has me based in central Scotland while operating all over the UK working as a freelancer for a large and varied number of companies, providers, schools and local authorities delivering a wide range of activities and outdoor education. I am still on the path to making this a career.
